Akessons crafted this bar with beans from the Sambirano Valley, near Ambanja, in the North-West of Madagascar. These farms produce world-famous aromatic cacao and today most of the top chefs and chocolate makers around the world use cacao from this estate. Only 2 tons of Criollo beans are produced every year to make this chocolate. These beans have a very expressive cocoa aroma with subtle fruity-sweet tartness and pleasant flavour notes that evoke citrus and red berries, which is transfered to this 100% bar.
This bar has won several prizes in international competitions, including Silver in in the Best Bar Over 85% category in the International Chocolate Awards 2017.
Tasting Notes: very fruity flavors characteristic of Madagascan cacao, specifically citrus and red fruity notes.
